Hello, I’m Rich Douek

I’ve been writing comic books for about 10 years now, starting with my original series, Gutter Magic, for IDW. That was followed in turn by several more original series, such as Wailing Blade, Road of Bones, and Sea of Sorrows.

I’ve also worked on IDW’s TMNT comics, DC’s Superman, and was recently nominated for a Bram Stoker Award for Superior Achievement in a Graphic Novel, for Road of Bones.

The intent of this newsletter is to both keep you up to date with my upcoming projects, and offer my insights into the process and business of writing comics.

If you’re creating your own comics, or dreaming about doing so one day, I hope that you’ll find some knowledge and direction here that might help you out.
